Diskussion – „Fitting more Industries in“, Brüssel

002 – Kai Michael Dietrich was invited by Prof. Mark Brearly to develop and discuss strategies for five sites of Brussels industrial area Buda. The workshop took five days and included discussions with factory owners as well as private and public real estate developers and tenants of existing warehouses.  002 participated in the panel discussion titled Fitting more Industry in.

 

„The debate about where we are going to live and work in the future, is in full swing. To make more room in the city for an urban economy, we need to combine better, we need to stack more compactly and more efficiently. This requires new spatial models. International experts share their vision and experiences in lectures and a panel discussion.“

Participants of the discussion where Kevin Borret (city architect Brussels), Prof. Mark Brearley (London Metropolitan University), Paul Karakusevic (Karakusevic, Carson Architects), Hape Schneider (HafenCity Hamburg GmbH), Anna Harding (space) and Joost Beundermann (Architectur 00).
